Traffic Exchange Advertising Versus Pay Per Click Advertising
Traffic Exchange advertising beats Pay per Click advertising hands down if you are building an Internet Marketing business
There are oodles of Internet Marketing “gurus” who will tell you otherwise. They advocate Google because it’s “targeted” and you will drive people genuinely interested in your opportunity to your site.
What a load of bollocks!
I know – I’ve wasted a fortune and a load of time at Google as I’ve researched keywords, edited out non performers, refined my site, and paid through the nose for “targeted visitors” that on average hang around my site for less than a minute and move on.
Let’s be frank I’m looking to build my contact list of people interested in Internet Marketing. Google don’t like squeeze pages, in fact they don’t seem to like much at all that might be selling something and they hit me with a Google Slap more often than I’ve been slapped by anyone or anything. they do it with the arrogance of a giant that has over 60% of Search Engine Traffic – and that’s OK, life’s too short to fight them. If you want to get listed on Google – it’s far cheaper and far easier to spend time and money using Search Engine Optimization Strategies.
And I do that – with this blog for example, but by far the cheapest way to get targeted visitors on to your Internet Mailing List is to use Traffic Exchanges.
Here is what i suggest that you do -
- Develop two or three squeeze pages directing them to the same autoresponder series and set up a tracking mechanism similar to what I use at Pro Tracker Plus
- Test these squeeze pages for free by doing some manual surfing at the Top 5 ranked Traffic exchanges – if you don’t trust my tracking – use an independent resource like Traffic Hoopla
- Review the results – what you are looking for is a sign up rate of one in say 200 page views – if you’re not getting that refine your squeeze pages until your getting that sort of result.
- Purchase some advertising credits from some reputable exchanges- this is a much cheaper alternative than buying PPC advertising from Google where testing alone can cost you hundreds of dollars.
- Remember every list member is worth at least $1 per month to you providing you can write an effective email follow up program.
And therein lies a problem – most of us have real difficulty writing a coherent on message email promotion series – that’s where this little gift may help.
