Traffic Exchange Strategy that works
Effective Traffic Exchange Strategy
The funny thing about traffic is that 90% of marketers work so hard to get it, but they invariably waste it. Let’s consider this scenario to illustrate my point.
An enthusiastic “new” Internet marketer decides to get involved in internet marketing and he joins the “Fleece ‘em while they sleep” program upon the recommendation of an "experienced" internet marketer that he met in a forum. This program is particularly “Hot” and there has already been a blind stampede of lemmings all rushing blindly over the cliff to make their fortune.
Of course by the time our newbie marketer hits the ground running full of vim, vigour and mad enthusiasm, the market is literally flooded with duplicate sites of this “reputable business”. Of course, he doesn’t realise this and he madly pursues one of the well travelled paths to generate traffic to his cookie cutter affiliate site– because he knows that he needs traffic to succeed and guess what happens? His take up rate is remarkably small – if he’s lucky he may generate one sale and he has absolutely no idea what to do with the leads that the program may have generated.
He inevitably reaches the conclusion that he was destined to reach – the medium of advertising he uses does not work – so he tries a different tack and still he gets no response and so it goes until he comes to a depressing conclusion – it’s not the advertising – it’s the program and he rushes off to join the next big thing- using the same techniques and methods that he tried before with predictably depressing results.
Sound familiar? – it does to me – I’ve joined my share of duds and promoted them blindly, and I was ready to walk away until I met several people who taught me the right way to do business. To these people I’m eternally grateful. Not unsurprisingly none of them claim to be a guru.
The trouble is that most marketers never learn their lesson – they can’t see the wood for the trees and travel in ever increasing circles, until one day they throw their hands in the air and say the whole thing’s a scam and yet Internet marketing using any form of traffic is remarkably simple. I can summarize it in eight words.
It’s all about building your mailing list.
In a nutshell all you need to do is to offer something of value for free in return for the client’s email address; you then follow up with quality practical advice that recommends real products and real services that your reader needs.
Yes it is that simple. Of course, there are a number of steps that you need to progress through to get there, but that is in essence where you need to direct all your traffic – to your free advice, course, book, whatever – you get the picture, then you follow up, follow up, follow up, not relentlessly like the spammer from hell, but methodically and logically, providing quality information that can be relied upon –information that you are proud to provide.

I am so there at hit2hits didn’t know if that extra site thing for pros worked or not but I liked the video. Going pro next month. Book marking ThIS site for sure!
Hi David – the pro rotation does work – there is a slight – and I emphasise the slight catch in as much as that you must be active at Hit2Hit – it’s not much of a catch but be mindful of it
so can you leave one on pause and run with the rest?
so you always have credits? it is a bear to surf starting up my new TE . I keep crashing the thing. LOL so a site that could get me out to many would be great.
I am quoting directly from the Hit2Hit owner David ” As long as you have credits assigned and your site into rotation you will receive traffic from the 30+ traffic exchanges, yes credits run out so you have to either surf, get a lot of referrals or purchase credits to make sure your site(s) has credits.”
